Umeda Events
Festivals, pop-ups, illuminations, and seasonal highlights — your guide to what's happening in Umeda
English & Japanese | 英語・日本語
Umeda is never static. Between the rooftop Ferris wheel of HEP Five, the shopping complexes of Grand Front and Hankyu, the riverside cherry trees of Nakanoshima, and the historic grounds of Tsuyunoten Shrine, the district hosts a year-round calendar of festivals, pop-ups, and seasonal displays. From spring cherry blossoms to winter illuminations, there's always something happening.

Plan Your Visit
Most Umeda events are walkable from JR Osaka, Hankyu Umeda, or Umeda subway stations — the district is the most connected transit hub in western Japan. Summer events are crowded and humid, so arrive early, carry water, and wear comfortable shoes. For department-store campaigns and pop-ups, check the official Grand Front and Hankyu websites for exact dates and participation rules.
