About This Event / イベントについて
NISHIUMEDA CANDLE NIGHT is on Wednesday 9 December 2026 from 16:00 to 21:00. Candles are due from 17:00. Entry is free. Rain moves the night to the next day. The committee is Hankyu Hanshin, Yoshimoto Building, Sankei Building, Mainichi Shimbun, and Japan Post Real Estate. Osaka Prefecture, Osaka City, and the chamber of commerce are listed as patrons.
The route is the west office block, not the Sky Building postcard. Hilton Plaza East and West, JP Tower Osaka, HERBIS PLAZA and PLAZA ENT, Breezé Breezé, the Mainichi building, and Nishi-Umeda Park. CANDLE JUNE, the long-time director, puts a large installation in the park. Students and Kansai makers line the streets with candle art. Paper-bag andon, a holdover from the old one-million-candle nights, still appear.
Partner buildings turn their lights down for a short light-off so the candles read. Concerts, a market, and workshops at the malls are promised as follow-up, not as a finished timetable. Check nishiumeda-candlenight.com the week of the 9th.

This is west of the station, toward HERBIS and Hilton Plaza, not Grand Front.
グランフロントではなく、ハービスとヒルトンプラザ側。駅の西。
If it rains on the 9th, come on the 10th. Confirm on the official site that morning.
9日が雨なら10日。当日朝に公式を見る。
Office workers fill the pavements from 18:00. Arrive nearer 17:00 if you want the park install with space.
18時からオフィス帰りで歩道が埋まる。公園の作品に隙間が欲しいなら17時近く。
JR Osaka west exit or Hanshin Umeda west. Do not start from the Sky Building.
JR大阪駅西口か阪神大阪梅田駅西口。スカイビルから始めない。
