Hanshin Umeda Main Store's 1F Shokusai Terrace hosts the 9th Hanshin Karaage Fan Thanksgiving from 16 to 21 September 2026, including the Monday holiday. The Japan Karaage Association treats this floor as Osaka's fried-chicken stop. Most 100g portions are ¥540. Skewers that mix cuts or flavours on one stick are the 2026 add-on.
Returning Grand Prix names include Nakatsu's Moriyama, Genkiya, Bungoya, Wakayama's Manpukutei, Aichi's Yukichi, and Kobe's Shigemori. First-time Hanshin stalls include Maebashi's Naruka with ume karaage, Osaka's Karaage Kin to Gin, Fukuoka's Kawabe, and Saga's Dondon with Aritadori bone-in thigh at ¥1,080 a piece. Pairing drinks come from Fukushima's Ringo&: fresh apple sour 400ml ¥900, lemon sour 420ml ¥800.
Hanshin Umeda Station is connected. Eat standing at the terrace, then go upstairs if you still have room. Limited skewer counts go first on weekend evenings.
