YUMICORE Opens Umeda Flagship Studio on August 1, 2026: Three Studios Plus a Personal Room in Chayamachi

YUMICORE, the Tokyo-based body-conditioning studio brand run by YumiCoreBody Inc., opens its Osaka Umeda flagship studio on August 1, 2026 on the third floor of the TATSUMI Chayamachi Building at 6-6 Chayamachi, Kita-ku, Osaka. The new flagship sits three minutes on foot from Hankyu Osaka-Umeda Station, five minutes from Osaka Metro Midōsuji-line Umeda Station, and seven minutes from JR Osaka Station — putting it inside the densest fitness-and-wellness cluster in northern Osaka. The studio has three group studios plus one personal-training room, a step up from the existing Umeda location that becomes the ANNEX (annex) from the same date.

Pre-open campaign July 19 to 31

Before the grand opening, YUMICORE runs a pre-open campaign from July 19 to July 31, 2026. Trial lessons, normally 8,000 yen tax-included, drop to 2,980 yen for new customers during this window. Reservations opened June 20 at noon. The campaign is limited to new customers and excludes the Yumico sub-brand trial lessons. The flagship also sells a six-month "Concentration Plan" — a monthly-8 contract for six months — to the first 100 customers, a savings play aimed at locking in the opening rush.

What is YUMICORE

YUMICORE, founded in September 2018 by CEO Tomoko Murata, focuses on "building the body's foundation" — posture, alignment, core engagement — through small-group lessons that scale to each student. The brand operates studios across Japan, and the Umeda location has been its Kansai foothold. The flagship upgrade in Chayamachi triples the lesson capacity of the existing Umeda studio and adds the personal-room option for one-on-one work. Existing monthly-8 and unlimited plan holders can use both the flagship and the ANNEX without extra cost.

Why a fitness opening matters in Chayamachi

Chayamachi, the block north of Hankyu Umeda that holds HEP Five, NU Chayamachi, and now the Alpen OSAKA flagship, is the densest youth-and-lifestyle corridor in Umeda. Adding a body-conditioning studio into that mix matches the trend of wellness-led retail: Tokyo fitness brands like YUMICORE, RIZAP, and Total Workout have been moving into Kansai transit-adjacent lots since 2024, and YUMICORE's Chayamachi choice is the clearest signal yet that the block is diversifying past fashion and anime goods. For travelers and Umeda office workers, a 3-minute walk from Hankyu Umeda means a lunchtime or post-work class is viable.

The flagship opens at a moment when Kansai inbound tourism is peaking — Grand Front Osaka and Grand Green Osaka have pushed average Umeda foot traffic to record highs, and August is peak inbound month. YUMICORE's English-language studio booking is still limited, but the brand has stated it will roll out English reservation pages for the flagship in late 2026.
