Step out of the central gates at JR Osaka Station and you are already inside a shopping mall. Lucua osaka and Lucua 1100 are the two buildings that form the retail heart of Osaka Station City, together one of the largest station-connected shopping complexes in Japan. They sit on top of each other, share a basement food hall, and split their tenants so cleanly that regulars rarely confuse the two.

How the Two Buildings Differ

Lucua, the east building, targets fashion-conscious working women. Its floors lean into trend-led apparel, cosmetics, and accessories, and the mall markets itself as the top fashion building in the Umeda area. Lucua 1100, the west building, takes a broader approach. Its stated keywords are Gap, Contrast, and Marriage, meaning it mixes genres that would normally sit in separate shops. The result is a floor plan that places a vintage-leaning denim store next to a minimalist Scandinavian lifestyle brand next to a coffee roaster. Both buildings run ten floors above ground plus two basement levels.

The B2 Food Hall and LUCUA DINING

Basement level two of both buildings is the LUCUA FOOD HALL, open from 11:00 AM to midnight. It is less a food court than a gourmet market, with counters selling wagyu croquettes, dashimaki tamago, French patisserie, and standing sake bars. The tenth floor of both buildings is LUCUA DINING, a band of full-service restaurants that stay open until 11:00 PM, covering tonkatsu, sushi, Italian, and Korean barbecue. The split hours matter: the B2F shops close latest, the dining floor closes second latest, and the retail floors shut at 9:00 PM.

Fashion Floors and Tenant Standouts

Lucua 1100 spreads men's and women's wear across B1F through 8F, with the eighth floor given over entirely to menswear including Beams and United Arrows flagships. The ninth floor is a books and culture floor anchored by a large Kinokuniya. Lucua, the east building, stacks women's wear from 1F through 7F, with the sixth floor dedicated to young women's brands and the seventh mixing men's and women's. Cosmetics sit on B1F and 8F, and the first floor carries seasonal pop-ups aimed at the commuter crowd. Multilingual staff at the information counters speak English, Chinese, and Spanish, and the mall accepts Visa, Mastercard, JCB, UnionPay, and Amex.
