Rooftop observatory at Umeda Sky Building with panoramic city views.

Sky Garden, also known as the Kuchu Teien Observatory, is the floating rooftop observation deck atop the Umeda Sky Building, one of largest most recognised architectural landmarks. Set on the 39th and 40th floors with an open-air rooftop level, the observatory is suspended between the building's east and west towers and offers 360-degree views of Osaka city.

Completed in 1993 as part of the Shin-Umeda City complex designed by architect Hiroshi Hara, the observatory features an indoor viewing gallery, Cafe SKY 40 offering world beers and seasonal coffees, and a rooftop terrace famous for heart-shaped love locks. By day visitors can see as far as Awaji Island, and at night the illuminated skyline provides a romantic setting.

Tickets are 2,000 yen for adults and 500 yen for children aged 4 to 12. The facility is open daily from 9:30 AM to 10:30 PM, with last admission at 10:00 PM. It is a short walk from JR Station, Hankyu Umeda, and Osaka Metro Umeda.
