阿闍梨餅本舗 満月 大丸梅田店 at Umeda, Osaka

A Kyoto sweet shop in Daimaru Umeda, famous for its single-recipe ajari mochi rice cakes since 1856.

Ajari Mochi Honpo Mangetsu Daimaru Umeda is a wagashi counter on the B1F west side of Daimaru Umeda at 3-1-1 Umeda in Kita Ward. The Kyoto-based shop was founded in 1856, the late Edo period, and is celebrated for a single signature sweet, the ajari mochi, made with just one type of filling.

The counter sells freshly made ajari mochi individually or in boxes, with pieces priced around 140 yen at the main shop, alongside seasonal treats. Hours run from 10:00, closing at 20:00 on some days and 21:00 on others, and the small stand often sells out by evening so early visits are wise.

Pick up a few as a souvenir or an afternoon treat while shopping in Daimaru. It is a compact, much-loved counter for a genuinely historic Osaka-Kyoto confection.
