梅田中心部・角田町9-26、新梅田食道街の小さな食堂
Yakko is a small restaurant at 9-26 Kakudacho, Kita Ward, inside the Shin-Umeda Shokudogai, the covered food street beneath the JR Osaka Station railway tracks. The Shokudogai began in 1950 with 18 veteran shops and has grown into a bustling alleyway of over 70 bars and eateries, with Yakko part of that long-standing local dining tradition. The alleyway hosts izakaya, cafes and tiny restaurants serving everything from okonomiyaki to udon, and Yakko fits the compact counter-seated format the area is known for. Its central Umeda location places it moments from Osaka and Umeda stations. Visitors wanting an authentic, atmospheric meal in one of Osaka's oldest food alleys should stop by Yakko in the Shin-Umeda Shokudogai.
